I have this picture of Jaina as a delicate little flower. A delicate dangerous flower. She had all these emotions allready locked up inside. All she wanted was peace and i bet she felt like she was almost there at some point during wotlk. Now this.
So Jaina got an update in Mist of Pandaria. And just like befor she still looked abit derp. I wanted to portrait her with all these emotions. Heavy dark eyes that have cried a little too much lately, and is now filled with hate and anger. I'm still not sure about the hair though... I'm not sure i want to change it. What do you think? Please let me know!
I'm looking forward to see where this character is heading. I'm sure she will be a raidboss in the future
Once again this is a reskin and is usable in WowModelViewer. Vol'Jin is next once I get a hold of his new model.
Program used:
- WowModelviewer
- Photoshop Cs3
Chararcter and model belongs to Blizzard World of Warcraft
I have an idea. What do you think about making undead Sylvanas, ehm... uglier? You know, she maybe was a beautiful elf when she was alive, but now she is (un)dead. Her skincolor could be more unregular, to look "rotting", with greenish and purple shades, dark, almost black veins, dark ear peaks etc. Now her skincolor looks to "pretty" and even wretched blood elves looks mordde "dead" than Sylvanas - but the wretched are still alive.
And! If they tattered her robe...don't you think she'd have one or two scars of some description too? Even if they are just tiny, I fail to see how she went through like three wars and came out 100% physically unscathed.
Just is too bad the in-game one doesn't actually look like yours, it's really pretty nice.
I also played around with the hair abit, but i just couldn't get it to blend. I tried making the tops to still look dirty-blond and the root of the hair white, because as you said, why would it be full white? But the whole thing just looked abit dull. If you want to i can show you what i mean?
If it's just merely messing around in photoshop though then scars wouldn't be mirrored if you weren't working with the actually 3d texture maps and crap, and just the screenshot in photoshop. I used to like fiddling around with WoW models in photoshop just like that but after cata came out my modelviewer stopped working and I couldn't update it for some reason so that was a bit sad. It was good too if I was in the mood for sketching some poses and such.
I also though -- which someone mentioned in that forum -- that the tatters on her robes were mirrored...seemed a bit odd if you asked me, they definitely could've done that properly. Nevertheless... xD

I wasn't sure what I exactly must write in google, but i wrore tags as 'warcraft skin assymetry texture'. Maybe you can find better.
It's also other option. There's on Deviantart a very talented modelmaker, Vaanel (his works are in my favourites). He can make models with assymetrical textures (scars on the one side of the face etc., for example Varo'then or Krasus). Maybe he could help you.
Yes assymetry textures has been done befor (Like the scar on Varian Wrynn's face) and is probbably possible to accomplish using other programs. Vaanel are making his own models using bits and pieces of other models along some very original art. But this is done using some other 3D software.
I'm just doing texture reskins using WowModelViewer and is therefore limited to the materials and presets that the model already offer
